I began my career as a psychotherapist 10 years ago following completion of my degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Family-Couple Therapy.

In addition to seeing clients I also began psychoeducational workshops for individuals and a number of organisations such as universities and cooperatives. The theme of the workshops was “Life Skills” which consisted of self-awareness, anger management, stress management, assertiveness and effective communication.

In pursuit of improving mental health in society in a more impactful way, I decided to study my second Master’s degree in Media Psychology, which was recognised and introduced for the first time in the UK in 2012.

In 2013 I began collaborating with Manoto TV and BBC Persian in London as a guest speaker for Persian-speaking audiences around the world. Having live programmes is a challenging task, nevertheless the pleasure of making even a small change in people’s lives is profoundly inspirational. The positive feedback encourages me to be even more focused and determined.

Along with the therapy sessions I provide privately and at Edgware Hospital in London, I also have the pleasure to work online with clients across the world including America, Australia, China and the Middle East, making this an immensely rewarding venture.

Continuing development and training is very important in the counselling and psychotherapy field. I have always been committed to enhancing my professional knowledge and providing an evidence-base for practice in ways that benefit my clients.

English and Persian.

Therapy can be enjoyable as well as challenging; my commitment is to create a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space which can help you address life's difficulties in a creative and meaningful way.

My approach is integrative, derived from different therapeutic methods including third-waves cognitive therapy (such as schema therapy and acceptance commitment therapy), systemic family-couple therapy, cognitive analytic therapy, mindfulness and body-oriented approaches. This enables me to tailor therapy to your specific needs.

I also apply psychoeducation in order to optimise the effectiveness of my counselling sessions. This will equip you with a better understanding of your situation and with a set of very helpful skills including anger management, effective communication, decision making, problem solving, assertiveness and stress management.

As well as face-to-face sessions I provide Skype Therapy and/or telephone sessions tailored to accommodate the needs of busy professionals or people from different time zones.
