ABOUT ME

After enjoying a successful career in the City operating in investments, metal trading and commodities and running my own company, I decided to pursue a second career as a qualified psychotherapist. I always had an interest in people and have actively supported and mentored colleagues. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I combine my work-life experience with my psychotherapy training to give me a unique capability to understand and support people in high pressured and stressful roles and situations.

I also work with couples who are struggling to manage difficulties in their relationship. My focus is to support them to understand their role in the relationship. I challenge them to develop effective skills in communication, empathy and dealing with conflict.

Recently, I have found myself drawn to working with older clients who feel isolated, are adapting to their life stage or have accessibility issues. In these circumstances, I can organise home visits in the Kensington and Chelsea areas.

HOW I WORK

During your first session we focus on what has brought you into therapy and any concerns that you may have. You can be assured that I will listen non-judgmentally and everything that you share is in absolute confidence. Together we will decide on how you would like to take your sessions forward. It is usual to have weekly therapy sessions and sometimes I find people prefer to work more intensely at the beginning of the therapy to accelerate a shift in their life.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different modes and ways of working, tailoring them to each person’s needs. My aim is to ease distress and enable change, so that people feel able to move positively forward with life.

Most therapy is conducted face-to-face. I also carry out therapy with my clients based in overseas locations. My UK based clients are also advised to continue therapy via Skype even when they are traveling overseas to ensure that their therapy remains a priority and is consistent.
