As a Consultant Psychologist with 10 years of experience in private health care, third sector and management of organisations, I have a particular interest in working with people (both adults and young people) in difficulty to help increase their sense of wellbeing.

I currently manage a psychotherapy service in North London with key responsibility for overall service and operations. I recruit, manage performance and where appropriate offer clinical supervision for a team of 35, which includes psychotherapists, teachers, supervisors and operational staff. I am responsible for the clinical assessments, allocation decisions and evaluating treatment options within the service. I have also run groups and worked with people one to one, providing short and long term psychological interventions for adults with a range of issues.

Alongside this I am also the consultant psychologist in a number of therapeutic care homes for young people in East London, where I apply a broad theoretical knowledge base and specialist clinical skills to develop and support the staff as appropriate, including teaching, training, clinical supervision and consultation in multidisciplinary team meetings. I also work closely with social services, GPs, psychiatrists and CAMHS to support young people and their families.

I supervise the clinical work of both trainee and qualified psychologists and psychotherapists. In addition to running training programs, supervise doctoral research and publish papers on clinical matters.

I provide remote supervision to psychosocial workers stationed abroad, overcoming language and cultural barriers and sensitively adapting the application of Western psychological models.

In the past I have managed services supporting men and women experiencing domestic abuse and worked within a substance misuse facility, supporting recovery through psychological intervention.

I have presented internationally at press conferences, lectures and seminars on phenomenology, migration and psychological health. My research has contributed to United Nations projects working with asylum seekers and European Commission projects working with migrants and returnees.

Fluent in English & Catalan (Spain).

I am a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist, also registered with the British Psychological Society.

Human experience is diverse and I think it is important to tailor our work to individual needs. I believe it to be important to remain as open as possible to the complexity of human existence.
We make unique decisions on how we live but this can sometimes seem perplexing and overwhelming. Life can present us with experiences that are tough and coping with this can be challenging.

Through the therapy sessions, it is possible to increase our self-awareness and rehearse particular skills that help us conserve a meaningful balance that expresses how we would really like to live. We can talk through your experiences and issues in a dialogue of depth. No matter how the problem or issue initially presents itself, it often affects other areas of our life and it is often helpful to understand and process this experience in therapy. Therapy includes qualities such as compassion, courage, focus, and honesty. It can sometimes be challenging but always a respectful and supportive.

I provide sessions tailored to every individual. This may be in short-term focused, goal-oriented sessions as well as long term or open-ended therapy. We would first meet for an initial consultation where you can talk about your concerns and ask any questions you may have so we can establish how we might work together.

Face-to-face sessions are typically weekly and last 50mins. I also provide Skype Therapy and/or telephone sessions tailored to accommodate the needs of busy professionals or people from different time zones.
